Responsibilities :

As a member of Credera’s Technical Architecture and Strategy Practice, you will work directly with our clients to solve their toughest business and technology challenges. We seek passionate technologists who possess deep industry and consulting experience to provide project architecture and technical leadership on client engagements. You will contribute to our clients’ fundamental software strategies by matching business needs with the right technology, making strategic technical recommendations and presenting to them client executive leadership. In addition, you will also design and build world class software, test and implement solutions that meet project objectives and timelines. Typical engagements include, but are not limited to, Custom Application Development to Enterprise Portal Design and Implementation, eCommerce (i.e., B2B and B2C), Mobile Solutions, Enterprise Application Integration.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing in a team-oriented environment, prioritizing multiple tasks in order to consistently meet deadlines. You will have the autonomy to solve problems creatively and quickly in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, a quick learner, detail-oriented and possess a high degree of initiative.  The candidate will be a positive leader and mentor in order to ensure team members acquire necessary skills and performance attributes needed to be successful.  In order to be successful in this role and our environment, this person will have to adapt to and be motivated in a dynamic and collaborative work environment where people, technologies, processes and industries can change between engagements.

 

We seek someone with a demonstrated aptitude for big picture and strategic thinking along with a dedication to hands-on development and ongoing education of emerging technologies. The successful candidate must contribute to and move naturally between business and technology discussions and reasoning, and inspire stakeholders in order to recognize and promote new business opportunities.

Qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field of study
  • Minimum 8 years of hands on experience with Java/JVM or related technologies
  • Mastery of Object Oriented Design principles
  • Background of both broad and deep technical proficiency
  • Experience navigating large, complex projects
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Demonstrated experience consistently delivering high quality work

Additional preferred skills:

  • Previous consulting experience
  • Experience in security, high availability, cloud, or big data
  • Java EE technologies (Servlets/JSP, JMS, EJB, etc)
  • API design and construction (Web Services, REST, SOAP, etc)
  • Middle tier integration with ESBs
  • Delivery experience with any NoSQL database (HBase, Mongo, CouchDB, Neo4J etc.)
  • Authentication and single-sign on frameworks like SAML or oAuth
  • DevOps expertise (Chef, Puppet etc.)
  • Spring Framework experience (Dependency Injection, Spring MVC, Transaction Management)
  • ORM experience with JPA, Hibernate, iBATIS or similar
  • Relational database modeling and design
  • Alternate JVM languages (Groovy/Grails, Scala, Clojure, etc.)
  • Front end development (CSS, JavaScript/jQuery)
  • Mobile development for iPhone, Android, HTML5, or tablets
  • Participation in industry recognized repositories, technical blogs or similar (GitHub, Stack Overflow, Geeklist, CodePlex, CodeProject, DZone, etc.)

  • Consulting Skills: Possess effective analytical skills and the ability to determine underlying meaning of analysis while developing insightful and creative conclusions; Effectively contribute to client reports, presentations, and other written communications
  • Business Development: Maintain an understanding of the company’s service offerings and capabilities, reference and participate in developing white papers; Be known as an outstanding professional within client situations
  • Company Development: Understand and manage billability requirements; Participate in company activities; Contribute high-valued and reusable intellectual capital; Act on feedback received; Define, communicate and pursue personal career goals that support company objectives; Recruit individuals with similar skills and values to join Credera
