We’re looking for a system administrator who is driven by learning and overcoming technical challenges. This person will play a key role maintaining the technical systems that power the back-office at Craftsy. As a System Administrator, you’ll oversee the health of our on-prem network, hardware appliances, and software services.  This role will be highly autonomous and driven by system reliability KPIs that you will develop with the team.
 
As a System Administrator you will:
  • Maintain the technical health and wellbeing of IT systems that power Craftsy’s back office
  • Work with stakeholders and project managers to assess scopes of work and evaluate vendors, tools, appliances, and software
  • Iterate and continuously improve the security, maintainability, and reliability of Craftsy’s business systems
  • Deliver on operability and uptime KPIs for Craftsy’s networking systems, film production studios, digital asset management, and storage networks
  • Design and implement a change management process that can scale to many systems and premises
 
What will make you a great fit:
  •  5-10 years experience in System Administration, DevOps Engineering, SRE, or equivalent IT Operations role
  • Hands-on experience in Linux system administration including resource management, network operations, and process management
  • Understanding administrative security concepts such as Firewalls, IPS, IDS, Active Directory/LDAP, ACL, VPN, MFA
  • Ability to create and distribute runbooks
 
What will give you bonus points:
  • Experience in PCI compliance standards  
  • Experience operating SAN/NAS infrastructure
  • Prior work in content delivery, film production, or digital asset management
