Make a difference every day in the lives of working adults advancing their education. Guild is looking for Student Success Advisors (SSA) to join our team. As an SSA, you’ll play a central role in Guild’s mission as we work together to empower students to chart paths toward meaningful careers and as we pioneer education as a benefit with universities and Fortune 1000 companies.

We’re excited to learn more about you. If you think this is the next role for you, please submit a resume and responses to the application questions to demonstrate how your experience and expertise will enable you to effectively accomplish the specific objectives listed below.

As a Student Success Advisor you will:

  • Serve as your students’ champion and thought-partner as they navigate the challenges of work, school, and life
  • Help students successfully pursue job training or degree programs from start to finish
  • Develop candid and open relationships that enable you to coach effectively and celebrate authentically as students progress through learning and career milestones
  • Creatively use technology (text, calls, social media, email) to proactively engage with students
  • Facilitate connections within a cohort of students in a virtual setting - building community, increasing accountability, and ensuring the stickiness of the experience
  • Create and deliver curriculum and content for students to complement formal classes on topics like difficult conversations, time management, and goal setting
  • Guide students through academic & programmatic logistics, including course registration and degree pathing at our partner higher education institutions

We’ll prioritize the following experience and attributes as we evaluate candidates throughout the hiring process:

  • Passion for higher education and our mission - Guild is pioneering a new path for education as a benefit in a complicated and regulated space - success means quickly learning the landscape and effectively adapting your expertise
  • A Bachelor’s or Master's Degree ideally in Education, Business or a similar relevant path
  • Experience coaching, advising or developing others including the ability to deliver clear feedback and hold someone accountable to achieving specific results
  • Demonstrated ability to lean into data and focus on students’ experience throughout their education journey
  • Experience with our demographic of students (high school, higher education, adults)
  • Experience in a startup or similar environment where there is frequent change, high pressure, and a need to demonstrate and act with a sense of urgency
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred

Guild Education believes that a diverse and inclusive team will contribute toward our ability to achieve our mission and will dedicate intentional effort to building a team that reflects that belief.
