As a Strategic Compliance Advisor, you will provide guidance and expertise to the premier customer base by offering support and knowledge in email compliance and optimal delivery methods. You will manage escalated tickets and calls with clients in conjunction with Customer Success Managers and Delivery Consultants. Your input will help to improve the reputation of the SendGrid email infrastructure. Additionally, you will work with revenue teams to maintain awareness of trends that affect the SendGrid reputation, including vetting techniques, trending issues, and other factors to consider when talking with potential and existing customers.

What You'll Do

  • Live by and champion our cultural values of Happy, Hungry, Honest, and Humble
  • Provide advice and guidance to premier accounts by displaying expert knowledge on email compliance and delivery
  • Develop detailed remediation plans, communicate specific actions and steps, and track the follow through of plans for errant premier accounts
  • Bring constructive input to continually improve our processes
  • Display diplomacy and a value add attitude when working with high volume, high value customers, always working with a “help the customer get the most for the service they are already paying for” mentality
  • Help bring escalated tickets and disgruntled clients to resolution
  • Develop techniques for better identifying issues or negative trends using available tools and automation
  • Travel to conferences in order to represent SendGrid and understand what changes are on the horizon for email as well as trending issues
  • Stop spammers, specifically helping reform uneducated premier senders causing damage to our reputation and to the email ecosystem
  • Speak to clients through tickets and phone conversations in regards to their email program in conjunction with the Customer Success Team
  • Discern malicious emailers from ignorant senders that need coaching and education
  • Perform daily checks and monitoring reports to identify spam and rising trends
  • Provide analytical data to show Compliance and SendGrid trends and anomalies
  • Produce ideas which will help shape the compliance department and the premier customer base
  • Creative and technical problem solving with solving customer issues, preventing unwanted mail from exiting our system, and how to improve processes overall
  • Provide support to the Compliance team as a whole to meet its departmental goals
