The Role
The Senior Accountant is a full-time position reporting to the Accounting Director. The Senior Accountant will play a very important role in the monthly financial close & reporting process. This individual must possess great attention to detail, strong financial acumen, and a high aptitude for leveraging technology and financial systems.

The Senior Accountant will have a broad range of responsibilities involving all aspects of the monthly financial close, GL responsibilities, and fulfilling the internal and external reporting requirements.

Your Tasks

  • Prepare, review, upload journal entries relating to assigned accounts with supporting schedules
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations of assigned accounts, and provide analysis of complex balance sheet movements and related P&L and foreign currency impacts
  • Manage fixed asset additions, disposals and impairments to ensure appropriateness with US GAAP and internal use capitalization policies, review invoices to ensure assets are appropriately being capitalized or expensed, and partner with business owners to ensure assets are being placed in-service and retired timely and accurately
  • Prepare quarterly reporting package and flux explanations, including foreign currency impacts, for assigned accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of various tax and audit schedules
  • Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned
  • Identify process improvement and efficiency opportunities and propose solutions to Accounting Management.

Your Skills

  • BA or BS with an emphasis in accounting, required
  • Experience with foreign currency translation required
  • Public accounting experience preferred; CPA a plus
  • 4 - 6 years of general ledger accounting, preferably with a combination of public and corporate accounting experience in progressively responsible roles
  • Strong systems aptitude.  Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in the use of spreadsheet programs and other software applications for financial analysis
  • Ability to quickly acclimate to complex financial accounting applications
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information to various levels of an organization
