Job Description

As a Sr. Software Engineer on Sovrn’s AdTech Team you will work on a small autonomous team in an agile environment. You will deliver functionality which will help our customers monetize their advertising real estate. We exist in open market conditions so time to market and value add are key differentiators. The fast paced and complex industry, coupled with ever-increasing business demands and near-real-time requirements, push the boundaries of performance and scalability in our systems and code. You will play a key role in defining and implementing our next generation stack which is key to our success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience designing, implementing projects in a highly scalable and performant environment using Java
• B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• A solid foundation in data structures, algorithms and system design
• Knowledge of web and internet fundamentals
• Strong Java development and design experience
• Source control (GitHub, svn, etc)
• Build and deployment tools (GoCD, Maven, grunt, etc)
• Development and deployment experience on Linux/POSIX platforms
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting problems and performance issues in complex, multi-layer software systems
• Proficient with persistence stores: Relational, NoSQL, etc....
• Experience with monitoring for highly observable code: StatsD, Graphite, etc..
• Demonstrable commitment to automation 
• Excel in a fast paced Agile development environment
• Articulate; excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bonus Points

• Advertising industry experience
• Experience with multi-threaded, parallel processing
• Working familiarity with Javascript, HTML, and CSS
