newmedia is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team! The ideal candidate will be insanely talented and driven to manage large-scale, interactive projects from conception and design to development and implementation. This role is responsible for coordinating, collaborating and leading the cross-functional teams to create exceptional websites while providing excellent customer service, managing timeline and budget. 

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day management of complex functionality projects ranging from large scale to enterprise level. 
  • Independently manage project profitability and timeline of projects. 
  • Coordinate tasks, assign resources, and oversee proper task completion.
  • Independently manage project profitability and timeline of projects.
  • Ability to lead a team of direct reports consisting of Project Coordinators, and Associate Project Managers.
  • Lead weekly 1-on-1’s with direct reports as well as regular meetings with the Director of Project Management to provide cross-functional insight on production level needs.
  • Proactively work with Senior Project Managers to identify risks, threats, or opportunities that could impact the success of the project, notifying the team and escalating issues when appropriate. 
  • Ability to lead team members through process change and best practices and proactively identifies risks, threats, or opportunities that could impact the success of the project, notifying the team and escalating issues when appropriate. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to creatively solve problems and brainstorm solutions.
  • Ability to continually establish a deep understanding of the client's business, processes, and procedures and apply that knowledge to affect the project's success.
  • Contribute to the professional development of direct reports.
  • Mentor junior team members to foster a learning environment of successful PM practices.
  • Assist the Director of PM with utilization of metrics and review resource needs with project needs to ensure balance (balance between non-billable and billable work).

Requirements

  • A BA degree preferred.
  • Drupal CMS is required.
  • 5+ years Project Management experience (ideally 3+ in an agency environment).
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a range of budgets and timelines.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven culture.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and Scrum processes preferred.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, including the ability to speak fluently to both senior executives and technical audiences.
