Sr Demand Planner
Responsibilities also include:
- Leading the monthly collaborative planning cycle outlined by the S&OP processes to achieve a demand plan while working with all the appropriate functional business groups.
- Establish volume-plan-based plan at multiple levels of aggregation where necessary for multiple time horizons (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) as part of a demand planning function while working with the customer care department for demand consensus.
- Drives weekly Sales & Operations execution meeting with an emphasis on scheduling, quality, handling surge demand, and ultimately offering a more effective and efficient service. The key areas of focus on customer demand, supply constraints, integration capacity, sales growth opportunities while understanding short term needs and surge demand with a review of integration capacity.
- Ensure that planning is ready to engage on new customer opportunities for net new and existing run rate customers for demand and logistics within the Sales Force tool.
- Providing input to the planning parameters for Demantra and to forecasting methodologies. Monitoring trends in forecast error or inputs to the forecast bias.
- Supports the continuous improvement initiatives to improve the Sales and Operations processes by continuously monitoring, analyzing and improving the demand plan to drive improved performance
- Measure and respond to forecast accuracy outputs.
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process
- Supports the continuous improvement initiatives to improve the Sales and Operations processes to continuously monitor, analyze and improve the demand plan to drive improved performance including customer forecast.
Skills Required:
- 3-5 years of experience required in Sales & Operations Planning.
- Driver/leader/advocate/adapter in support of Sales & Operations Planning
- Planning, analytical assessment, or process management related
- Demonstrates the ability to utilize quantitative and analytical skills to assess business situations and solve problems
- Knowledge of the Supply-chain operations reference (SCOR) model
- ERP/demand planning systems experience
- Ability to demonstrate multiple influencing styles (i.e., logical persuading, consulting, stating, etc.)
- Market experience/knowledge in technology space (i.e., Health Care, Transportation, Retail, Broadcast Media, Industrial, Security, and Data Center as an example).
