What will you do? You will be responsible for providing technical solutions to the Quality Engineering Department as well as working with specific project teams and individuals to help implement, maintain and innovate our technical testing strategies. You will also provide expert technical advice and assistance on test tools, test planning, and test design – with an emphasis on test automation and performance testing, as well as specialties in testing innovation. You will provide recommendations in regards to technical approaches, deployments, tool uses, and integrations.

• You’re a Software Tester that has worked within different SDLC methodologies (Agile, waterfall, iterative, etc.).
• You’re able to research root causes around issues and identify, recommend and implement solutions.
• You’ve created or contributed to automation and performance strategies and you write tests based on your deep testing knowledge.
• You are a technical testing and tool subject matter expert and you have created and/or contributed to one or more testing frameworks and can speak to the differences between them.
• You understand the unique challenges that mobile technology introduces to the SDLC and have created and implemented solutions to address those challenges.
• You can provide informal knowledge transition and/or hands-on training with other team members.
• You have the ability to adapt and learn from co-workers and share information and experiences in a variety of communication modes.
• You are flexible and adaptable when needed, but you know when to deep dive and focus on the task at hand.

Your Skills

• You have experience with: Object Oriented programming languages like C# or Java, .NET Technologies, SQL/TSQL (including DML/DDL/function commands), stored procedures, DB Tracing, DB profiling/SQL Profiler, impact analysis, DB sharding, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, XPath.
• You have expertise and a strong understanding of Object Oriented programming principles and can make recommendations on how to consult on “coding to support automation.”
• You have proficient experience in Web Services (SOAP, REST) and automated testing tools (like Selenium WebDriver API, SoapUI, Cucumber, etc.) and mobile and performance testing strategies.
• You have experience with scripting languages, preferably Windows Powershell and Batch scripting.
• You know how to integrate third party APIs/tools from GITHUB or any other open sources as the automation need arises.
• You have strong working knowledge and implementation practice of software development life-cycle and testing tools.
• You like to learn and actively seek new skills and knowledge to keep up with the changing technology field, including bringing any new ideas to the team.
