NetApp SolidFire is actively seeking an enthusiastic Java developer to help build and maintain plugins that integrate SolidFire with cloud management tools from companies such as VMware and Cisco. We're looking for an application developer with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with third party libraries and SDK’s. As a member of the Host Integrations team, you will help design, define, test, and build plugins that seamlessly integrate SolidFire’s storage solution with the world’s top cloud software companies. 

NetApp SolidFire delivers high-performance, highly-available, fault-tolerant software that runs concurrently on up to 100 nodes of all SSD storage and flawlessly pools all resources, while maintaining data integrity even if the network, rack, node, hardware, device, file system, kernel or other software components fail. Essential Functions: 

The Host Integrations Developer will be responsible for the design, creation, testing, and maintenance of multiple plugins that enable integrations and will simplify automation of SolidFire by our customers. 

Specific responsibilities include: 

● Work with Product Management to understand the customer’s needs 
● Help define the product roadmap 
● Write documentation on how the plugin’s are consumed 
● Build example applications or workflows 
● Keep up to date with current cloud technologies and trendsJob 

Requirements: 

● Proficient in at least: 
o one statically typed language such as Java or C# 
o one dynamically typed language such as Python or Ruby 
● Three or more years of commercial application development experience 
● Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills 
● Knowledge of development on one or more of the following platforms: Windows, Linux, Mac OS X 
● Proven ability to deliver work in a team and individually 
● Effective time management and organizational skills 
● Proven ability to work on closely-knit teams using Agile tools for tracking progress, issues, etc. 

Bonus Points for: 

● Have worked with VMWare tools such as vRealize Suite, vSphere, or Horizon in the past 
● Have experience building integrations by consuming web services or from provided libraries 
● Have consumed SDKs in the past and are curious to learn the art of building them

Education & Experience: 

- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required. 6 to 8 years of experience is preferred 
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master Degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required 
- Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks
