Software Engineer - Data Collection/Processing
LogRhythm has a unique opportunity for a Software Engineer to join a new team working on greenfield development for an award-winning threat detection and security analytics platform. You will have the opportunity to work in an innovative environment that is tackling one of the most critical technology issues facing organizations today. The team is going to be responsible for designing critical components of LogRhythm’s data processor.
Our software platform is designed to drastically reduce the time required to detect and respond to threats. Organizations have the power to neutralize and respond to these threats before there are any cyber-incidents or data breaches. The highly scalable, purpose-built LogRhythm platform collects, classifies, and contextualizes petabytes of machine and forensic data from across the extended IT and operational environment. We have pioneered a holistic approach to security intelligence that sits at the intersection of advanced cyber-security and Big Data analytics.
Responsibilities
- Design and development on LogRhythm’s greenfield data processor platform
- Work cross functionally with several teams to gather requirements and create POC for future architecture of our data processor
- You will help define our deployment and test automation pipelines
- Work with both hardware and cloud deployments. To be successful, you must understand the tradeoffs between each of them and how to utilize both platforms
- Provide innovative designs and changes to the architecture council and thought leadership team
Qualifications
- Experience in designing a product around cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Experience developing large scale data processing platforms in a production environment.
- Experience in scaling software in an Agile environment
- Strong knowledge of designing software architecture
- Must have worked with big data (ETL) – streamed data
- Expert in at least of programming language (C#, GO, Java preferred)
- Strong understanding of SDK development in a product
- Experience with building and consuming APIs
