newmedia is looking for a SEO & Content Specialist that will contribute to a variety of marketing activities geared toward creating compelling content with SEO in mind. You will work closely with multiple members of our team to create world-class content to help grow and build our brands.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute unique marketing strategies for client websites using multiple online channels.
  • Grow subscriber bases by providing them with regular, helpful content that’s aligned with their needs and interests.
  • Develop content for various projects on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage tactical execution of day-to-day SEO strategies (Both on-page and  off-page).
  • Blog on an ongoing basis to support and promote your offers and to attract site visitors through search, social media, and email subscribers.
  • Perform site optimization to increase conversions and improve user engagement.
  • Report regularly to clients using web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools).
  • Collaborate with designers, product marketers, sales professionals, and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience.
  • Copywriting and/or copy editing as needed to support the goals of this role.
  • Keyword research and SEO audits for clients
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in online content development, using SEO principles and best-practices.
  • A solid grasp of how blogging, press releases, social media, and related strategies go hand-in-hand with SEO.
  • Past experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, SlideShare, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
  • Past experience building audiences either online or offline.
  • An understanding of how content, SEO and social media fit together.
  • Strong understanding of on-page and off page SEO.
  • Experience in local SEO campaigns such as building citations.
  • A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and InDesign).
  • Ability to jump between multiple different clients, accounts and projects.
  • Experience working with multiples social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest, Google+).
