Senior UX/UI Designer

Responsibilities:

 

  • Leverage your deep knowledge of our constantly evolving product suite, user experience and design best practices to anticipate customer experiences, propose creative solutions, and collaborate with product managers and developers to make your vision a reality.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications for user interfaces and workflow.
  • Design user interfaces, ensuring all touch points (including apps, mobile, portals, and internal platforms) are a coherent, cohesive, and compelling reflection of the product brand strategy and vision.
  • Facilitate concept/solution discussions with cross-functional stakeholder groups to ensure alignment with business requirements and understanding of considerations and implications of business decisions on the customer experience.
  • Engage with our customers through conversation, user groups, and pilot/beta programs, recommending creative and effective solutions to address inefficiencies and challenges, resulting in the best possible user experience.
  • Mentor front-end developers in usability best practices, serving as a technical resource throughout implementation.
  • Lead internal and external user experience meetings to ensure development of best-in-class, intuitive, customer-centric solutions.

 

Education & Experience Requirements:

 

    • “Roll-up-your-sleeves” entrepreneurial, startup attitude.
    • Outstanding portfolio showing proficiency in implementing effective, intuitive designs: sample artifacts with a discussion of business goals, challenges, constraints, and resulting achievements.
    • Passion for creating amazing user experiences and innovative, disruptive designs.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science or related field.
    • 5+ years of relevant experience in UX|UI design, considering human factors and user interactions.
    • Proven experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, wireframing, HTML5/CSS3, and Twitter Bootstrap.
    • Experience in designing web and mobile applications for complex business needs.
    • Continually increasing knowledge of strategies and best practices for professional UX|UI design.
    • Solid grasp of UX|UI testing methodologies, including conducting, documenting and presenting findings from user centric research.
    • Ability to create low-, mid- and high-fidelity storyboards and prototypes to rapidly explore ideas and complex interactions in the context of the overall product.
    • Natural ability to relate to people across a wide variety of backgrounds.
    • Quick learner and passionate problem solver.
    • Nimble, thoughtful approach, with a can-do attitude.
    • Ability to drive initiatives from concepts to implementation, consistently achieving results aligned with commitments and deadlines.
    • Superb written and verbal communication skills, a great listener and teammate.
    • Attention to detail, creative, patient and positive.
    • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and independently, as well as prioritize effectively.
    • Excellent time management skills, able to achieve consistent, high-quality results on multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for fitness (CrossFit, martial arts, dance, yoga, etc)
  • Prior experience with member management or billing software
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Prior experience in a service or operations role
