Healthgrades is looking for an exceptionally talented senior designer to be a part of our creative team producing intuitive, simple and delightful experiences.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own the design and user experience vision from project inception to delivery
  • Lead, participate and thrive in project ideation with other designers and product owners
  • Create wonderfully beautiful and desirable experiences for consumers
  • Design engaging user interfaces using participatory and iterative design techniques
  • Produce design artifacts including user requirements specifications, personas, storyboards, wireframes, high-fidelity comps, design prototypes, and design specifications
  • Work with the creative lead to integrate technology and clients' business requirements into design strategies while balancing UI, marketing, and aesthetic interests
  • Participate as a contributor in an interdisciplinary team that includes other designers, project managers, business and brand strategists, and software developers
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure design integrity

 

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of UX, user interface and visual design experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively about your designs with others across the organization, including senior executives
  • A keen understanding of user behavior as it relates to design
  • Outstanding visual design skills with an ability to solve complex user problems with a beautifully intuitive interface
  • Self-motivation, excellent communication, an open mind and the ability to thrive in multidisciplinary teams
  • The skills and savvy to balance great design with short deadlines
  • A passion for collaboration and learning
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • In depth knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to Web-based applications and consumer electronics.
  • Exhibit stylistic breadth, attention to detail, and a balance of beauty, innovation and usability in your designs
  • Substantial understanding of user interface issues and information architecture
  • Experience with user-centered research, such as usability testing, contextual inquiry, and field interviews
  • Familiarity with technical issues around web development and ability to work constructively and collaboratively with development teams
  • Experience designing for tablets and smartphones is a must-have
  • An online portfolio demonstrating strong user experience and visual design skills for large-scale projects

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design or related discipline is a plus
