Responsibilities:
- Build and develop an intuitive user interface of new and existing products
- Design, implement, and deploy the UI layer of our products
- Work closely with UX designers, peer software engineers and architects, technical writers, QA engineers, and data center operations engineers.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in web application development and architecture.
- Extensive experience using open source software libraries
- Strong experience in at least one MVC architecture or application of the pattern
- Solid understanding of modern JS frameworks—we use NodeJS and ReactJS (these are highly preferred)
- Java experience in the application tier and familiarity with application containers
- Experience with dealing JSON and XML documents
- Hands on experience with varieties of graphing libs such as D3.js
- Hands of experience in deploying services on AWS or Google Cloud platform
- Must have built end to end continuous integration and deployment infrastructure for UI services
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or another relevant technical field
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience using a modular, common and scalable UI platform
- Experience using chef, puppet or any other deployment automation tools
- Experience working within a distributed engineering team including offshore
- Bonus points if you have contributed to an open source project
- Familiarity and experience with agile (scrum) development process
- Experience working within a distributed engineering team including offshore
- Proven track record of identifying and championing new technologies that enhance the end-user experience, software quality, and developer productivity
