LogRhythm is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to join the LogRhythm team at our corporate office in Boulder, Colorado. As a member of the software engineering team, you will support the definition of new features and product enhancements for our products. Successful candidates are those who define product requirements/user stories utilizing a big picture product view while diligently attending to detail. This person serves as the conduit between customers, business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring common understanding of product needs.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with engineering, product management, sales engineering, and other business stakeholders in the definition of product features
- Collect customer, sales, product marketing, and engineering input for the development of technical requirements and product priorities
- Collaborate with and guide engineering development teams (e.g., product owner in agile) ensuring customer requirements are well prioritized, correctly implemented, and validated
- Effectively manage trade-offs between business benefit and cost/schedule/scope
- Develop training materials for new features for internal audiences such customer support, professional services, and channel partners
- Be the point person for sales engineering (SE) questions as well as online community forums
- Maintain a technical working relationship with technology partners
- Represent LogRhythm at customer and partner events and tradeshows
- Work across the entire product line life cycle, from strategic planning to day-to-day product ownership activities to product release
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical requirements or product management role for a software based enterprise product
- Minimum 5 years in the software development/product industry
- Experienced in writing product requirements and user stories
- Technical knowledge of a subset of the following: software development technologies, user interface technologies (web, mobile, rich client) , Elasticsearch, Internet/network technologies, information security, high availability/redundancy/DR, Software as a Service, and SOA
- Strong negotiation skills with aptitude to manage controversial situations as well as influence in those situations
- Process-oriented and driven to achieve strategic goals
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize effectively
Valued Skills
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Background in networking, information security, or web services API management
- Previous experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, rule based analysis, “big data”, analytics or business intelligence
- Previous experience in customer facing function (support, professional services, sales engineering)
- Previous experience in software engineering role (solution architect, QA lead, customer engineering)
- CISSP or other security certifications
- Knowledge of federal government certification activities: SOC2, FIPS, Common Criteria, UC APL
- Knowledge/experience with government compliance
- Undergraduate degree in technical field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Systems Security, Electrical Engineering)
