At ShopAtHome.com, we are looking for a full-time, Senior SQL Server DBA to join the Information Systems team. The successful candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 and SQL 2012 administration, T-SQL and analytical abilities.  The DBA will interact with both the development and data analytics teams on a daily basis and must have strong experience with very large, high volume databases.  The ShopAtHome.com DBA will be working with cutting edge technology in our dynamic and innovative corporate culture in the Denver Tech Center.

Responsibilities:                            

• Provide technical expertise in all aspects of the SQL including application support, data changes and deployment of solutions
• SQL database performance analysis, tuning, resource optimization (I/O, CPU, memory
• SQL security, maintenance, and logical/physical database design
• Manage databases supporting our 87+ million customers and over 500,000 site visits per day
• Assist in backup and recovery strategies and procedures, testing, and data replication processes
• Maintain the SQL database Server environment; coordinate, test and implement changes; move, migrate and upgrade as needed
• Ability to apply data warehouse concepts and standards to new designs
• Troubleshoot and provide solutions

Qualifications:

• 5+ years database administration in MSSQL 2008R2, 2012
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL and stored procedures
• Strong knowledge of internal SQL Server processes
• Understanding of replication and HA concepts
• Knowledge of OLAP and OLTP data modeling and database design is preferred
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS a plus
• Familiarity with storage technologies (e.g. SAN, NAS, etc.) a plus
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, fluid work environment
• Very organized and detail oriented
