You will work directly with the executive team and other business units to help shape the future of our company. Our team is small but focused on shipping quality product. We have big goals for 2017 and need more bandwidth to realize them.

The ideal candidate for this position gravitates towards the back-end systems side and enjoys working with data and APIs. You must love Ruby, Postgres, and green test suites. You should also want to serve as a go-to resource, share what you know, and learn from teammates.

Remote candidates are encouraged to apply if they can start in Denver within four weeks after receiving an offer.

• We are good teammates who follow our working agreement. Diva attitudes and condescending behavior are not tolerated.

• We follow a part-time Work from Home schedule.

Desired Qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional web development with 5+ years of Ruby on Rails. The more ruby, the better.

• Javascript: Enough to add some basic user-friendliness to internal-facing HAML pages. We do have some Node services if you're into that.

• Strong computer science problem-solving ability for creating, testing, and optimizing scalable algorithms and database queries.

• Experience with scaling high-volume public production applications. Should know how to monitor.

• Solid understanding of web application security best practices and how to implement them.

• Production experience with Heroku and Amazon Web Services.
