POSITION: SENIOR ENGINEER

ThinkTopic, a software consultancy focused on machine learning, computer vision, recommendations, and distributed systems, is looking for an experienced software engineer to join us full-time.  This role will involve large scale system architecture of micro-service based platforms, cloud infrastructure engineering, research and development primarily in Clojure. You will be collaborating with a growing team of experienced engineers coming from both academia and industry, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn,  implement and improve on cutting edge algorithms that will be used in production.

For the Senior Engineer position, we are looking for someone who:

• has experience in one or more of distributed systems, machine learning (neural networks), computer vision or recommendation systems

• understands distributed service architectures, messaging, and cloud deployment

• is comfortable working across the stack (algorithms, services, REST apis, dev ops)

• already knows or is willing to learn Clojure, and has experience in a variety of languages (functional programming is a plus)

• takes initiative and is self-directed

• communicates effectively with a team

• enjoys introducing new approaches and ideas to the team
   

This is a senior level position, and salary will be commensurate with experience.

OUR COMMITMENT

We designed a custom revenue and equity allocation algorithm based on our collective experience working at other technology companies. The system is designed so that no matter when someone joins the business they will be fairly compensated based on our success, and we don’t require VC investment or an acquisition to benefit all employees. This is a company with a long term strategy versus a quick exit plan.

Our office is located in Boulder, Colorado.
