As an integral part of Cartasite’s Software Engineering team, the Senior Software Engineer will work on a small, versatile and passionate team. You will tackle new problems as we continue to push our industries forward. You will design, test, deploy and maintain software solutions that solve customer problems at-scale. Your contributions will allow you to write mission-critical code that enables us to achieve our goal of getting people home safely and optimizing the operational challenges faced by our customers. 

REQUIREMENTS

What you bring to the table:

• 7+ years of experience in a software development, with 4+ years of programming Java or C# preferred.
• Experience with high transaction services and APIs and experience with high scale software design.
• Experience with Git.
• Experience in an Agile environment.
• Write clean, testable code. Strong experience with SOA, highly scalable services and service development and deployment in the cloud.
• Work well with a passionate team of curious engineers. Bring a collaborative and self-directed attitude to the job.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline.

A few nice-to-haves:

• Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) and/or hardware experience.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services technologies, including EC2 and RDS.

What you will do:

• Develop highly dynamic, distributed, resilient, concurrent and secure services at scale to 5K+ transactions/sec to support the core platform.
• Work in a tech stack that includes but is not limited to: .Net, Java, SQL Server, NoSQL, and AWS services.
• Contribute to design and re-architecture of the core platform to support continuous system improvement.
• Apply critical thinking skills to choose the most efficient tools and will limit yourself to specific technologies. Contribute ideas to improve our services.
• Continue personal professional growth through developer conferences and technical training.
