Senior Software Engineer 

ParkiFi, a fast-growing tech startup founded in 2014, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help develop the foundation of the company. Based in Denver, ParkiFi is using cutting-edge technology to solve and revolutionize the world's parking challenges with data.

We need someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves problem-solving. You’ll be designing and architecting systems, building new features, and working across our tech stack to produce an amazing product that people use every day.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Build new features to support our external and internal applications
• Structure, design, and architect systems to be flexible and stable
• Support existing codebases and systems, optimizing for performance and troubleshooting bugs
• Be part of our weekly on-call rotation, handling critical errors as they arise. (Don’t worry, our system is pretty stable and you will have support when you need it.)

Desired Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a back-end or full-stack software engineer
• Expert in a core language in our tech stack (Java, Elixir)
• Advanced SQL knowledge
• Linux and system administration skills

Bonus Skills

• Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• RabbitMQ
• Networking and performance knowledge
• Experience with external APIs and libraries (maps, graphing)
• Familiarity with a scripting language (Python, JavaScript)
