The Platform Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the overall success of marketing activities for our platform products within DigitalGlobe. This is a leadership role that requires strong experience in developing marketing strategies, implementing a product marketing framework, owning an overall go-to-market approach and leading a team of seasoned marketing professionals. The DigitalGlobe GBDX platform is designed to extract valuable data and insight from satellite imagery for a multiplicity of use cases in industry and government. Utilizing the latest techniques in computer vision and machine learning, GBDX is on the cutting edge of the big data revolution.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop, implement and execute the overall platform marketing strategy and lead the team on the appropriate tactics to bring that vision to reality
  • Create and launch a series of impactful marketing campaigns to drive broad scale awareness and adoption of DigitalGlobe Platform product offerings (GBDX, MapsAPI, Spatial On Demand)
  • Analyze and synthesize information (qualitative and quantitative) based on signals from the market and the sales organization to inform changes to strategy
  • Develop, track and manage the budget for the Platform Marketing team
  • Develop, track and meet key performance indicators for marketing campaigns and communicate results
  • Operate as the project manager for many of the more complicated marketing activities in platform
  • Collaborate closely with teammates within sales, business development, product management and corporate leadership to ensure stakeholder support and buy-in to strategic initiatives
  • Define go-to-market strategies and launch plans to drive education, adoption, engagement and successful execution by partnering closely with cross-functional teams
  • Facilitate and lead product marketing to deliver customer segmentation reporting, defined value propositions and clear, targeted statements around the features and benefits of our platform products
  • Be a player/coach who knows when to lead and when to delegate

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or other related field
  • 8 years professional marketing experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Experience with B2B marketing programs
  • Excellent project management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • This position is Westminster, Colorado-based, but the candidate must have the ability to travel – sometimes internationally – on a routine basis (~ 25%)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and achieving KPIs in a data driven marketing culture
  • Experience launching digital marketing campaigns with awareness and knowledge of eCommerce strategies and tactics

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience within the geospatial industry is a plus
  • Strategic view around launching products
  • Must be extremely pro-active, up on all current digital marketing options, and always seek new ways and methods to attract new prospects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
  • Professional judgment and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
  • Strong organization and project management skills
