Apto is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team in Denver. We are looking for someone that can work across front and back-end solutions and is inspired by new development.

What you’ll be doing:

We are seeking a Senior Engineer that can advise and execute. Specifically, we are looking for someone with strong server-side Javascript, experience scaling systems, and a background or interest in back-end system architecture.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Collaborate closely with small, cross-functional teams of designers, developers and product managers to build new features and applications
  • Full-stack development using a primarily javascript stack - Node.js, Express.js, Compass, Postgres, with Angular 2 and Polymer on the front-end.
  • Working with cloud hosting technologies such as Heroku, Amazon Web Services, Rackspace Cloud, or Google Cloud
  • Optimizing the databases as applications scale.
  • Design and extend existing APIs as needed to implement new functionality or improve data transfer between applications.
  • Continuously search out new ideas and technologies to learn and share with your team members; help develop junior team members
  • Encouraging and improving upon what works well, while cutting what isn’t
  • Stay up to date on the latest development practices and strategies that make it possible to create amazing applications

What you need to apply:

  • Strong development skills for creating fast, engaging applications for desktop and mobile
  • Desire to work in a startup environment with changing targets and deadlines
  • Experience in developing integrations using REST APIs or similar technologies
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment and write working code on a daily basis
  • Ability to work on enterprise applications and deliver scalable solutions that meet and exceed customer goals

It would be awesome if you had:

  • Experience with Commercial Real Estate or a desire to learn (it’s what we do)
  • Experience scaling software systems
  • Foosball or dart throwing expertise
