 The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities for the sales team. The SDR works closely with our solution consultants and marketing teams. They create and develop relationships by managing and qualifying inbound leads via SnapEngage Live Chat, phone, and email.  The SDR will also prospect into the existing base of customers to generate up-sell opportunities.  In addition, they will cold call into marketing defined target accounts with the goal of generating appointments for the sales team. This individual will be highly motivated, a self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including marketing leads, prospect lists, and opportunity pipelines with the primary responsibility to effectively represent SnapEngage in an effort to meet new prospect goals. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new opportunities via inbound web chat, phone and email to introduce SnapEngage Live Chat software
  • Generate new leads for the sales organization via warm calls to existing customers
  • Cold-call appropriate prospects within the target market for the sales team
  • Qualify prospects against established criteria prior to passing them on as marketing qualified leads
  • Schedule meetings between prospects,and solution consultants
  • 50% chat time with inbound leads, 25% outbound cold calling, 25% warm prospecting to existing customers
  • Nurture suspects using the telephone, email, and chat until qualified to hand off to Solution Consultants
  • Process inbound leads, both telephone and web/chat-based
  • Provide accurate weekly forecasts of expected Marketing Qualified Leads to sales and marketing teams
  • Track and manage prospecting, qualification and nurture activities within HubSpot
  • Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge of company solutions
  • Handle objections in order to align SnapEngage Chat Software to prospective client needs
  • Display consultative skills necessary to successfully represent products and services
  • Must attain all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) defined by management; i.e. conversions, call volume, etc.
  • Develop effective messaging key to suspect conversion resulting in warm prospects
  • Professionally represent SnapEngage in all interactions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree desired
  • Prefer 2 years of prospecting (cold calling) experience in the B2B environment
  • Discipline to maintain high call volumes (minimum 40 outbound calls per day)
  • Strong attention to detail, making and keeping commitments and meeting deadlines
  • Active listening to assess prospect needs and opportunities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain issues and solutions
  • Ability to articulate a reasonable premise for each and every call
  • Able to perform prospect and account research to prepare for calls
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sales aptitude
  • Demonstrated consultative sales skills with a strong close ratio
  • Superior “change-management” skills and an ability to work independently are necessary
  • Ability to take initiative to monitor and continuously improve efforts
  • Exemplary decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to effectively multi-task
  • Desire to build a sales career with the option to advance to a quota carrying sales position
  • Spanish language speaker prefered
