We are currently looking for an intern to join our Revenue team.  In this role, you will work closely with Sales & Customer Success Operations to assist with business analysis, process improvement and data quality projects. Additionally, you will assist with the identification of new business opportunities, including responding to existing customer inquiries and researching new target prospects.  

This is a paid internship beginning in on March 1, 2016 with flexible hours and end date of August 30, 2016.

What You’ll Do

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and email inquiries to the sales team; verifying and entering information into the SalesForce CRM system
  • Support operational projects e.g. sales reporting and data validation
  • Complete RFP and vendor/supplier form completion as we receive forms
  • Organize quarterly events and meetings for the team
  • Support sales target account research and key contact identification
  • Assist with data quality and maintaining clean sales pipeline reports
  • Recommend improvements to the processes and policies
  • Support sales commission calculation processes and data validation
  • Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitive sales information
  • Lead qualification; Identify new business opportunities and route to sales team

About You

  • Initiative: Take independent action to proactively identify roadblocks to solve problems, and to learn new ways of completing tasks more effectively
  • Attention to Detail: Use documentation to check work and validate data prior to submission and have a keen eye to detail regarding the nature of the project and information submitted
  • Flexibility: Manage multiple project simultaneously and adjust priorities quickly when expectations change
  • Problem Solving: Research to find key information to validate data and processes and make decisions or proactively propose solutions to problems based on the findings
  • Problem Solving: Manage priorities for all projects to ensure timely, yet thorough completion and adjust time allocations to accommodate for shifting priorities
  • Analytical Ability: Use analytical reasoning skills to logically and appropriately apply data to validate business problems
  • Interest in Learning: Ability to quickly absorb new processes and tasks and to synthesize and relate new information learned to other known information
  • Service & Rapport: Establish and maintain relationships with key management stakeholders, and collaborate with fellow Revenue team members to build trust and provide excellent support
  • Project Management: Develop and lead projects and requests from inception to successful conclusion and effectively inform stakeholders of status updates and progress on key projects
  • Confidentiality: Understands the nature of confidential information and does not share information with others who should not be privy to the information.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program, with preference to Business, Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance or an MBA program
  • Above average skills with the Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel) is required
  • Excellent professional communication skills both verbal and written is required
  • Previous sales, business operations and/or customer service experience a plus
  • Data entry skills - SalesForce or similar CRM experience a plus
  • Strong technical understanding of Internet / cloud services a plus
