 The Sales and Customer Operations Training Manager will be responsible for designing and developing training for the global Customer Experience and Sales teams. This Individual will use their creativity, vision, and persistence to interact with subject matter experts across customer facing and internal team members to effectively define training needs, design and develop training content and implement best practice delivery methods alongside subject matter experts in the respective business functions. The successful candidate will be able to view training processes strategically while possessing the skills to solve tactical challenges as they arise. They will be able to effectively manage presenting relevant information and curriculum to employees located in our Westminster, London, and Singapore offices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design effective curriculum to train customer facing teams across the globe based on adult learning best practices
  • Act as a liaison between internal customers and the Customer and Sales Operations leadership team in determining the needs of the training and appropriate method of delivery.
  • Proactively work with Customer and Sales Operations leadership to define and resolve workplace performance challenges and opportunities. Analyze current state environment, including analysis of performance gaps and job/task/needs analysis.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and identify learning opportunities to standardize and achieve performance excellence across teams, including developing the metrics to measure learning effectiveness.
  • Facilitate discovery meetings and conduct interviews to confirm training needs and translate those needs into concrete options for learning programs.
  • Work directly with technical subject matter experts to capture course-specific knowledge.
  • Write concise, creative, and effective instruction and course design documents. Course deliverables include design documents, storyboards, prototypes, instructor and participant materials.
  • Create project documentation including the design templates, standards, style guides, technical specifications, straw models, train-the-trainer, and pilot materials.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, standards and processes to maintain consistency and quality with project delivery and brand guidelines.
  • Provide thought leadership around learning solutions that incorporate best practices in adult learning theory.
  • Design, develop, and implement measurement and evaluation strategies to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of learning solutions on performance.
  • Provide input into work plan creation, advising on the length of time required to design, develop, and complete learning solutions.
  • Implement all course design recommendations and training materials into available tools for delivery including, but not limited to Brainshark, Work Day and other tools as available.
  • Effectively prioritize training asks across Customer and Sales Operations department to identify and deliver high-priority training materials including, but not limited to: team member onboarding curriculum and materials build (sales and customer experience), technical product training courses, job function and skill courses, other as identified

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

  • Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data
  • Technical Skills - Able to organize/prioritize efficiently in a Windows operating environment; Knowledge around multiple training
  • Thought leader in adult learning theory and instructional design– expert in instructional design best practices, including training formats, instructional design models (e.g.: ADDIE)
  • Communication Skills - Responds promptly to team needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings.

Qualifications

  • Applied experience with adult learning and course development
  • Applied experience independently developing training for multiple complex projects
  • Experience in transformational projects and change management principles in a business setting
  • Demonstrates familiarity with Instructional Design and Courseware Development principles
  • Demonstrates and utilizes effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills
  • Must be a self-starter with proven ability to drive project to completion and own outcome of results, including defining vision of training programs and executing against that vision
  • Preferably understands ADDIE process for development and design of effective training programs.
  • Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately
  • Accomplished presentation skills, including development and delivery
  • Desire to continuously learn new features of development tools and software
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring others.
  • Strong collaboration capability with strong interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Work both independently and within a team
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team across time zones and cultures
  • Demonstrates understanding of different cultures and learning styles.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, Organizational Design, Psychology, or other equivalent curriculum that focuses on learning.
