As one of our Ruby on Rails engineers, you'll play an integral role in helping us to transform the real estate investing industry. We've got an ongoing need to improve our current platform, and a desire to build new tools to help our users with their everyday real estate lives.
 
We continue to believe that the real estate investor segment -- a subset of the population that encompasses close to 28 million people in the US alone -- is completely underserved, and we're seeking creative folks with the technical chops to help us build better products for them.
 
Our ideal candidate has unquestionable coding skills, an eye for detail, problem solving skills, motivation and the drive to succeed. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, design, test and deploy new features for the website
  • Participate in high-level discussions regarding product development; you will not only impact the code base of our app, but also the direction of its development.
  • Collaborate with our other enginners to compose a high quality code-base and to minimize nasty bugs.

Skills We're Looking For:

  • At least 2+ years of software development experience with a strong Ruby on Rails background (CS/Engineering degree preferred, but not required) [Seeking both Junior and Senior Level talent]
  • You will need to be comfortible in the technologies that comprise the environment hosting the app (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Phusion Passenger).
  • Familiarity with Capistrano, Git, GitHub, NewRelic
  • Passion for solving problems
  • Experience maintaining testing and production environments
  • Good architectural skills
  • Strong HTML/CSS/Javascript/AJAX/MySQL/CSS & UI Development Experience
  • Experience with different relevant frameworks - e.g.jQuery & SASS
  • Experience handling scalability
  • Strong database skills
  • Experience with testing frameworks
  • Knowledge of APIs - both implementation and creation
  • Ability to own projects end-to-end as demonstrated by significant open-source contributions, independent projects, team leadership, or startups

Location

We are located in the trendy RiNO area just east of downtown Denver. We are centrally located to lots of fun bars and restaurants. We have a modern, open concept warehouse office when you do want to venture in.
