Revenue Accounting Analyst
Ibotta is looking for a Revenue Accounting Analyst to support the accounting team in maintaining and assessing revenue. Your high attention to detail, proficiency with excel, and ability to think critically will contribute to your success in this role.
This is what you’ll be doing:
- Extract data and summarize for revenue reporting. Provide variance and other analysis on findings.
- Prepare quarterly revenue adjustments for compliance with ASC 605 (will be transitioning to ASC 606)
- Prepare JE’s and related account reconciliations
- Analyze and monitor revenue accounts including deferred revenue balances
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis
- Assist with external audit process
- Assist in maintaining and updating revenue accounting procedures and manuals
- Routinely perform detail analysis to maintain data integrity
Here is what we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, high tech industry and Big 4 experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred
- Proven analytical skills and highly Skilled in Excel
- Experience in SQL and/or Access
- Detail focused and strong ability to handle deadline driven short and long term projects
