As the Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, you’ll be the primary resource for building, executing, and maintaining automated testing of multiple applications. You will also be responsible for some manual testing in support of the QA team. You will work closely with the QA and Development teams to build a robust set of tests that support the quality goals of the organization.

Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Responsible for automation testing for a QA team supporting multiple web applications
  • Skilled at identifying and documenting complex defects
  • Able to juggle multiple inputs and determine the most practical approach to testing on a case-by-case basis
  • Comfortable and confident in a senior QA role with an ability to interact effectively with technical teams
  • Required to execute the manual test process as needed, including test development, execution, and maintenance
  • Capable of making solid decisions and providing clear feedback regarding test risk and approach
  • Able to work effectively as a member of a team but also independently
  • This position allows for remote work

Experience:

  • Four years experience in test automation required, experienced with Selenium and API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI
  • Skills in at least one programming language such as Ruby or PHP is preferred
  • Understanding of the SDLC and how it impacts quality
  • Excellent technical skills with an ability to learn new applications and tools quickly
  • Experience with continuous integration
  • SQL skills for basic searching and updating databases
