THE POSITIONWe are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer. The ideal candidate is responsible for delivery of next generation software solutions that satisfy the requirements of PENSCO’s business units. Work closely with product owners and development team to drive quality to the highest standards. Build automated testing scenarios for end to end and regression testing. Collaborate with development teams to define and drive best practices.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities- Develop test cases for each story in the development process.
- Manual exploratory testing as required.
- Develop automation tests using protractor and selenium based on test case coverage and usefulness.
- Manage automation test suite for continuous integration, continuous regression testing, and targeted smoke testing.
- Write and review test scripts and test cases.
- Work with team members on testing guidelines and best practices.
- Perform ad hoc and scheduled demonstrations of automated tests to team and business partners throughout the development process.
- Perform and verify successful software releases to various environments including production.
- Monitor and reporting of all test results to development team.
- Troubleshoot, create and track defects as part of development process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the testing of software solutions.
- Required experience in at least one development language and relational database.
- Prefer experience in JavaScript, SQL, Protractor, Selenium.
- Understanding of testing automation and testing automation best practices.
- Willingness and demonstrated desire to learn new skills.
- Experience in good software engineering practices such as unit testing, configuration automation, automated deployments, and release management.
- Excellent troubleshooting of multi-tiered environments and web/mobile based applications.
- Must demonstrate excellent collaboration with business and team members
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
