Role Purpose 

Our team is currently looking for an early-career quilt designer who is interested in supporting critical business functions for the eCommerce Quilting Team. In this role, you’ll manage external sample makers, tech editors, and quilt designers. You will have the opportunity to use your creative talents for quilt pattern design. You’ll resolve issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams, and finally, champion clear communication with customers alongside our dedicated Customer Support team. 

Responsibilities 

〈 Manage quilt/project sample process (communicate with sample makers, adhere to timelines, process fabric shipments, manage invoicing) 
〈 Support digital sampling process 
〈 Manage internal and external technical editing of quilting patterns 
〈 Reconcile pattern changes and updates from external tech editors 
〈 Develop internal and external tech editing processes and standards to maximize efficiency and reduce errors 
〈 Create and manage quality-control process for all private label quilting patterns 
〈 Support design, creation, and assortment of quilting patterns 
〈 Own end-to-end resolution of all quilting-related Customer Support issues, consulting external partners and internal buying team, as needed 
〈 Develop close cross-functional relationships with Content, Graphic Design, and Customer Support teams

Basic Qualifications 

• 2+ years of professional experience, with quilt design knowledge 
• High organizational skills and attention to detail 
• Well-developed relationship management abilities 
• Excited to work on multiple projects concurrently, within a fast paced, deadline-driven environment 
• Full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel specifically) 
• BONUS: Basic design software skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, Electric Quilt) 
• Passion for quilting, the quilting industry, understanding trends, etc.
