The Project Coordinators assists in the management of multiple projects while providing project management guidance to customers. They are responsible for coordinating projects, schedules, tracking the progress of projects, reporting on results and communicating next steps with customers and internal Dizzion employees.

Project Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities 
In order to assist with project management, a Project Coordinator performs many different tasks that make up this job’s core duties and responsibilities.

The Project Coordinator’s central duty is to drive projects from kick-off through to completion. This can include any number of tasks. Often, they’re assisting with the tasks outlined below, but may also be asked to perform clerical duties, maintain contact with clients and parties involved through email and phone calls, answer questions and concerns, prepare presentations, and enter project data. Coordination of involved parties’ duties and time frames for completion are also a major component of the Project Coordinator role.

Create & Communicate Project Plans
Project Coordinators develop concrete, detailed plans for a project, including the schedule, milestones, outlining the duties of each team members (internal and external), identifying project goals, and setting a timeline for the project. They collaborate with various teams and hold meetings to develop project plans and present them to upper-level management and involved parties before starting the project.

Monitor Project Progress
It is important that the Project Coordinator closely monitors each project he/she manages to ensure that projects remain on track, meet deadlines, stay within budget, and progress according to plan. They’re responsible not only for identifying project objectives, but ensuring that they’re met. This can include working with both internal engineers or customer contacts to ensure successful completion.  Project Coordinators are also responsible for identifying project risks in any of these areas and providing communication of the risk to all parties involved.

Report Project Results
Once a project is complete, the Project Coordinator is responsible for gathering and documenting all project results and then reporting or presenting them to the appropriate parties. This usually includes clients and upper-level management. They should report on the success of the project and document any setbacks that were encountered and identify any areas for improvement.

Project Coordinator Skills and Experience
Project Coordinators are detail-oriented multitaskers. They have great communication skills and are able to easily adapt to changing circumstances. In addition to these traits, Dizzion is looking for candidates that have the following skills.

Project Coordinators need to have an ambitious, go-getter approach with the following core skills:

  • Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good team player
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field of study preferred but not required
  • Expressed interest in project management and a desire for professional development in this field
