Summary

The Production Technician is responsible for monitoring production delivery components, managing the operation of the Digital Globe Delivery Manager, and media creation and packaging. 

 Responsibilities

• Monitor and understand Operations production components
• Manage Delivery Manager components, including hard drive production
• Identify delivery system processing errors and first tier troubleshooting
• Packaging media
• Perform imagery quality assessment on proprietary software
• Must be able to work first and second shifts, including weekends
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Detail-oriented and a strong work ethic
• Excellent organizational ability
• Must be able to work a mid-shift of Wednesday-Saturday 1:00 pm – 11:30 pm
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Must be a team player with a “can-do” attitude and a solutions-oriented personality
• Basic knowledge of satellite imagery, GIS or related area
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products
• Geospatial experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science degree in geography, GIS, or any other related technical discipline is desired.  Relevant experience will be considered in place of education
• S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required
• Must be able to pass a Background Check and obtain a Security Clearance
