The Production Coordinator monitors the status of imagery acquisition and production processing, provides production feasibility status, generates reports on production volumetric data and provides performance status to internal/external customers as needed. Supports shared tasks from Senior and Lead Production Coordinators for execution and monitoring of production scenarios. Identifies data required for product generation to include commercial imagery source, ground control, elevation data and other sources. Provides interdepartmental interfaces between operations, customer service, sales and marketing for production status and order processing. The Production Coordinator utilizes a combination of proprietary and commercial-off-the-shelf software suites to perform work required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation and selection of source material required for imagery based projects
  • Report generation on production volumes
  • Order and acquisition tracking and troubleshooting
  • Development and maintenance of GIS systems related to inventory management
  • Production planning and feasibility support for imagery and elevation products
  • Performance monitoring and metric creation
  • Support cross platform production planning and material selection requirements for projects and products
  • Performs basic order entry processes in support of product fulfillment

    Job Requirements

    • 1 to 2 years’ experience in Geography, Remote Sensing, GIS or other related fields
    • A Bachelor’s Degree in related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience
    • Strong application of Geographic Information Systems software including ArcGIS or other image processing and photogrammetric tools
    • The candidate will communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
    • Ability to exercise attention to detail and follow oral and written instructions
    • Basic understanding of commercial imagery, imagery triangulation and ortho-mosaic production
    • Basic understanding of Digital Elevation Models and their effects on ortho-imagery generation
    • Knowledge and experience using the Microsoft Office suite
    • Experience in project and task management
    • Must be a team player with a “can-do” attitude and a solutions oriented personality
    • Detail-oriented and a strong work ethic
    • Excellent organizational ability
    • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
    • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products
    • Must be able to pass a Background Check
    • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess or have the ability to acquire a U.S. Secret clearance
