Job Summary:

As a Product Marketing Manager, you develop and manage product marketing content, initiatives and programs to maximize revenues for the sales of NetApp's Products and Services. You develop and implement marketing strategies to respond to changing and /or competitive environments. A strong understanding of the storage industry, relationship management skills, and experience marketing in a high-technology, dynamic environment is crucial to your success. 

Essential Functions:
Product Marketing Managers are part of a dynamic team that delivers value to the NetApp organization and supports sales and revenue generation goals.

The team is tasked to:

- Drive product positioning, messaging and sales enablement to support go-to-market efforts of NetApp products and solutions. 

- Know the customer's use cases and work closely with product development teams to drive key features and integrations for the target market 

- Create a spectrum of sales tools and enablement collateral to communicate the value proposition of NetApp products and solutions in the target markets 

- Develop, communicate and implement marketing programs in collaboration with marketing and sales teams to meet marketing objectives and revenue targets.

- Deliver technical product positioning and training to sales engineering, partners and customers

- Establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.

- Serve as a NetApp spokesperson for customers, analysts, press, and industry events

- Track general business indicators, including market share, and competitor's marketing and sales program activities.

- Identify and maintain relationships with product partners, third-party vendors, etc. 
 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

- Ideal experience within a Marketing organization in the enterprise technology industry with a focus on storage products and services, data management and software focus

- Strong content creation experience needed with proven ability to dicepher technical product details to create value proposition content

- Strong experience in promoting, pitching and selling via content and presentations, data sheets and social media

- Experience creating content and using social media to communicate content via blogging, tweating ect. 

- Strong analytical skills and ability to work both independently and on cross functional teams. 

- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization. 

- Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.

- Ability to travel up to 20%

Responsibility and Interaction:

- This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope requiring in-depth evaluation. 

- The tasks this individual is responsible for may be unstructured and the issues addressed are less defined requiring new perspectives and creative approaches.

- Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions.

- This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties. 

- This individual can operate and drive results and set priorities independently.

- The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert.

- To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through regular leadership and influencing others.

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Education

Education & Experience:

- A Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience.  

- Deep understanding of the enterprise storage market and the role it plays with advanced enterprises and service providers to build differentiated, profitable and scalable infrastructure 

- A minimum of 8 years of experience is required; 10+ years of experience is preferred. 

- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
