Galvanize is building out a product marketing team to support our rapid expansion. The PMM will drive consumer awareness and lead acquisition for our web development and software engineering verticals.  We are looking for marketers with a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.  This person must be a team player and able to influence at all levels within the organization. The successful candidate has experience launching initiatives across multiple markets.

What You'll Do
    • Become an expert and stay up-to-date in your vertical(s): know the target customer, their needs, technology trends and the competitive landscape
    • Develop positioning and messaging for products in the web development / software engineering verticals (workshops, part-time, immersive courses).
    • Own go-to-market strategy for products: collaborate cross-functionally to rollout in local markets and support ongoing releases
    • Drive marketing collateral development; partner with the brand experience team to ensure consistent messaging across all consumer touch-points
    • Work with Galvanize faculty, evangelists and external partners to drive awareness through non-traditional channels (e.g. conferences, speaking engagements, co-promotions)
    • Gather customer insights and influence key product decisions (eg pricing, packaging, topics)
    • Collaborate with rest of marketing and enrollment teams to improve the lead acquisition funnel (events, website, emails, paid acquisition)
    • Support PR and content marketing efforts in vertical
  • 2-4 years product marketing experience at a B2C or B2B company (SaaS experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of what what full stack web development is, what mobile development is, and how they are different
  • Analytical thinker with experience in data-driven marketing
  • Outstanding follow-through, time management, and project management skills
  • Exceptional written communication & presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Customer-focused
Bonus
    • 1 year of hands on experience in a modern language (i.e. JavaScript, Python, Ruby)
    • Knowledge of Google Apps (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.)
    • Experience with an agile project management philosophy / methodology
    • Basic web development terminology (i.e. the common common architectures like MVC, popularprogramming languages and their corresponding popular frameworks, companies, etc.)
    • Knowledge of the web development education landscape (online, in person, hybrid)
    • Experience programming
