Role
The Product Marketing Manager will work with the Director of Product Marketing (direct report) and VP Product to position the value of Kapost’s complex and diverse offering (if ‘complex’ and ‘diverse’ don’t hint at a challenge to you, this is not the right role).
This role will be instrumental in analyzing competitive and complementary players in the market, soliciting direct customer input to improve our product strategy, positioning, and collateral, and enabling internal teams to communicate our message.
Responsibilities
Own competitive analysis and related collateral/ enablement
Full-funnel content creation and messaging for online and offline channels
Conduct win, loss, and churn calls with customers/ prospects and help synthesize insights and recommendations for reporting to leadership team
Solicit inputs from sales and success team members; assess Kapost’s content performance and impact on the customer journey and suggest improvements
Help develop frameworks and enable colleagues to quantify the value of Kapost’s offering
Support sales opportunities (incl large enterprise RFI/ RFPs) with advice, positioning, and collateral
Support analyst (ex., Forrester, Gartner, SiriusDecisions, CEB, etc…) briefings and inquiries
About You
You’re a self-starter who enjoys working in tight teams but doesn’t need to be micromanaged
Strong writing and communication skills - expect to share samples of your work and writing
You enjoy the conceptual challenges of product strategy and positioning, but recognize most of this job is doing - creating/ iterating on content, tracking an ever-evolving martech ecosystem, etc… - think 80/20 rule
You’re passionate about technology and storytelling, but not afraid of a spreadsheet
You love working in a startup environment
You’re a humble and kind person
