Guild’s education platform empowers top companies to help working adults go back to school, with tuition assistance programs that align the corporate business goals and affordable education programs that working adults love. Guild’s network of online, nonprofit universities and learning providers offer a consortium of classes, programs, and college degrees, along with college advising and retention coaching, helping each student navigate the worlds of work and college.

Guild is looking for a Product Director, Education Benefits (SaaS) Platform to join our technology team and lead our SaaS platform that connects employers and universities, delivering education benefits to front line workers and prospective students around the country. You’ll work with Stafford, Lauren, and others to find the right mix of design, technology and human connections.

This role is great for you if you live and breathe SaaS solutions from pricing and implementation to scalability and efficiency as well as get excited leading teams that build simple digital solutions in complex environments.

Success in this role means you partner to build products which abstract massive system complexity into simple solutions, connecting students, employers and universities to deliver education at an affordable price to students and ultimately changing the landscape for how we think about delivering education to learners across the country.

As a Product Director at Guild you will:

  • Own product vision and roadmapping for all pieces Guild’s education benefits platform, a multi-million dollar business processing tens of millions in payments with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, client partnership leads and platform operations.
  • Directly lead a team of product managers working across employer, university and student focused products, managing integrations and implementations across dozens of large external partners, from Fortune 100s to universities supporting >75,000 working adults a year.
  • Communicate product vision and priorities to internal and external partners
  • Hire, train, mentor and grow product managers and operations teams Monitor and measure launched products and feed insights back into product development process
  • Drive weekly prioritization and planning across your teams to ensure that the right features are being built at the right time for the right reasons.
  • Lead execution against the plan, anticipating blockers, risks, and the need for clear communication internally and externally with our business partners and student.

We’ll prioritize the following experience and attributes as we evaluate candidates throughout the hiring process:

  • 5+ years experience developing SaaS products in an agile environment.
  • Great track record of partnering with engineering and design teams to define, build, and maintain products.
  • General startup skills and excitement aka you’re comfortable working in a fast-paced, always changing, never dull environment.
  • Experience with technical integrations and enterprise implementations
  • Technical comfort, including but not limited to data analysis skills (SQL, R, Python, etc)
