Principal Engineer

Who Are We?

Digabit is a Denver-based software development firm that creates industry-leading enterprise solutions that are transforming the equipment manufacturing industry.  It's a great place to work: top-talent teams, a compelling SAAS product, leading-edge technology, and major clients. Our founders and executives are software veterans, with a number of prior successful products and ventures.

Documoto is a full-service parts catalog publishing suite, an after-sale web library, and all-in-one manufacturing eCommerce solution. Together, the solution enables equipment manufacturing companies to efficiently maintain their parts catalogs and increase aftermarket sales.

Who Are You?

You want to make an impact. You aren’t looking for a job, you’re looking to make a difference. You think of yourself as a leader and value the responsibility that comes with autonomy. You thrive in fast-paced environments and realize that progress fundamentally requires change. In fact, you drive change. Innovation and start-up culture are in your blood.

You’re a problem solver; you make things happen and work with others to build constructive and effective relationships. You seek opportunities to express initiative, volunteering readily, performing self-development activities, seizing increased responsibilities, and taking independent action and calculated risks. You have a high level of intellectual curiosity that reveals insights and implications, and you use that knowledge to think creatively about solutions.

You have a passion for building SAAS solutions that balance theory with real-world business needs. You have broad experience in a range of technologies and methodologies. You are passionate for applying this experience to building kick-ass products.

What Would You Do?

We are working on the next generation Digabit product suite: Digabit 20x. You will help us answer the question: What is needed to support 20x customer growth? What changes to the existing code structure and deployment architecture do we need? What changes in development process do we need?

We currently use the following technology components:  Java8, Spring framework, MySQL, Solr, AWS, EmberJS, Jenkins, Katharsis, Ansible, Hibernate, and Linux. You will help us determine which, if any, additional technology components are needed to help us achieve 20x.

You’ll work as part of a collaborative group in an Agile development environment.

You will support the continuing development and expansion of Digabit’s Documoto software, an all-in-one authoring tool, web document repository, and eCommerce solution for equipment manufacturers and their customers.
