Paid Search Strategist
Arrow Electronics, Inc. is seeking a highly ambitious, tech-forward search strategist who has passion for paid search. We’re looking for someone with a highly strategic, analytical, and creative mind that can add value very quickly in search marketing overall. The ideal candidate will come up with a new idea every day, or more frequently, on how Arrow.com can be better in paid search. They’ll then be expected to communicate that idea, delegate to appropriate staff or agency partners, and drive the idea forward until it’s a live tactic within Arrow’s paid search programs. The ideal candidate will have a problem solver mentality and the ability to think critically. The Paid Search Strategist will execute keyword research, campaign strategy, setup, and management, data analysis and reporting, and ongoing campaign optimization.
Essential Responsibilities
- Function as a paid search expert
- Responsible for providing innovative ideas and strategies for increasing traffic and revenue for Arrow.com's Paid Search programs
- Consistent ideation on innovative tactics and campaigns to increase the reach, efficacy, and profitability of Arrow.com's Paid Search programs
- Identifying areas of opportunity and inefficiency while maintaining budget goals.
- Continuously A-B testing ad copies and landing pages to improve quality score and conversion rates
- In conjunction with agency partners, Design, develop, and manage PPC campaigns; including, campaign structure, keyword research, keyword management, keyword bidding, ad copy writing and testing, and any other core capability required to maximize results, drive volume, and hit KPIs
- Conduct regular analysis and provide recommendations on increased performance in the areas of paid search
- In conjunction with agency partners, Aid in management of budgets to ensure search marketing expenditures are within the budgetary guidelines and optimized for ROAS
- In conjunction with agency partners, Monitoring conversions, copywriting text ads, and managing bids on a daily basis according to allocated budgets
- Stay up-to-date on latest SEM strategies and trends, while continually leveraging new tools and industry best practices to boost efficacy of campaigns
- In conjunction with agency partners, Execution & analysis of paid search beta tests & new platforms/vendors
- Forecast & plan paid search growth, and regularly communicate opportunity with stakeholders
- Research SEM issues and formulate solutions
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in paid search marketing strategy and implementation
- Proven ability to create and execute innovative strategies and tactics within paid search
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mathematics, Computer Science, Advertising or equivalent experience
- Innovative and creative problem solving mindset
- Strong analytical focus with the ability to independently implement optimization findings
- Outstanding partnering skills
- Results driven, and works with a sense of urgency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of PPC, implementation and search algorithms via AdWords and, Bing platforms.
- Google AdWords certified and expert knowledge of paid search marketing.
- Ability to interact successfully with cross-functional teams, segment teams, handles multiple projects, and meets tight deadlines.
- Proven analytical skills
- Proven negotiation skills and expertise in managing suppliers and vendors to reach optimum performance
- Proven ability to develop strong relationships throughout an organization
- Position requires up to 10% travel
Preferred Requirements
- Strong understanding of global paid search on engines such as Naver or Baidu
- Master’s degree preferred
- Experience with Retail/B2C as well as B2B paid search marketing
