Paid Search Lead & Ad Ops Engineer - Boulder, CO

Amplio Digital is searching for a highly ambitious, tech-forward SEM/PPC subject matter expert to lead strategy and execution for our Enterprise paid search accounts. While the Paid Search Lead will primarily be responsible for delivering strategic PPC advertising campaigns for Enterprise level Search advertisers (budgets greater than $250k/mo), he/she will also have the opportunity to operate in white-space as a Mad Scientist: Driving innovation and process improvement (either through software or systems) within the Paid Media group. As the “tip of the spear”, and first to test partner Beta’s on the agencies largest clients, this role will drive best PPC practices and set the “Amplio way” throughout the Search division. The Paid Search Lead will also work with the Amplio Digital leadership team to expand service offerings, identify market opportunities to build products & IP through software development, and support business development to help maintain a healthy pipeline of business. Your success will be measured by achieving client and company goals.

 

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Function as a paid search expert.
  • Set strategy and manage execution of the agencies largest PPC clients with budgets up to $1MM/mo.
  • As the PPC Subject Matter Expert, set the standard that all other Search Account Managers within the organization will be held.
  • Design, develop, and manage PPC campaigns; including, campaign structure, keyword research, keyword management, keyword bidding, ad copy writing and testing, and any other core capability required to maximize results, drive volume, and hit important metrics.
  • Monitor conversions, copywriting text ads, and manage bids daily according to allocated budgets.
  • Stay up-to-date on latest SEM strategies and trends, while continually demonstrating new tools to boost efficacy of campaigns.
  • Be consistent in ideation on innovative tactics and strategies that increase the effectiveness of Paid Search campaign management.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures and training to implement these tactics across the organization and SMB division.
  • Uncover opportunities – either through tools, software automation or processes – to increase operations efficiency and/or new revenue opportunities. 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of digital advertising experience with online retail either directly, or with an advertising agency, preferably in a client-facing role
  • Skilled digital marketer with deep expertise in Google AdWords, Yahoo! Gemini, Bing Ads, and Facebook Ads and familiarity with third-party bid and campaign management tools and ad serving platforms (Doubleclick Search/Campaign Manager, Marin Software, Kenshoo, Nanigans, Atlas Solutions, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience, including sourcing, training and managing individuals
  • Excel wiz with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access), and aptitude to quickly learn new tools
  • Polished and persuasive communicator (written and verbal) with experience leading client meetings and calls
  • Works well in a team and shines as an individual, all while maintaining a sense of humor

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong general business acumen
  • Experience managing other PPC channels including Facebook Ads with a Direct Response focus
  • Bachelor or Masters in a data driven field such as Economics, Finance, or Computer Science
  • SQL , JavaScript, or other technical knowledge
  • Experience operating as a Product Manager or leading software development
  • P&L management experience
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Omniture, Coremetrics) and suite of Google solutions (Tag Manager, My Business, Search Console, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to leverage data and metrics to recommend and drive sound business decisions
  • Focus on continuous improvement and ability to develop and drive processes to that end
  • Proven ability to work independently with demonstrated time management capabilities
  • Ability to scale abilities with the growth of the business
  • DoubleClick, Google Analytics, AdWords, Bing Ads, etc. certifications
  • Experience up-selling/cross-selling existing clients
  • Familiarity with pixel tracking setup and QA’ing
