Position Summary
Due to our continued growth and success we are currently seeking an experienced Mission Analyst as an individual contributor within our mission and performance analysis team. Through the development of analytics and models, the successful candidate will provide insight into all aspects of the factory, including ordering, collection, and production performance. The role will entail significant collaboration with groups across DigitalGlobe. Primary areas of responsibility include:
- Development of capacity models in support of current and predicted loads
- Analysis and tuning of the image scheduling functionality
- Analysis of tasking load and efficiency, including cloud cover and yield
- Development of mission awareness tools
- Analysis and tuning of short-term and long-term strategic collection feasibility
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze and model complex processes
- Experience with numerical computation and data visualization (e.g. MATLAB)
- Knowledge of SQL database queries
- Programming language experience (e.g. Java, Python)
- Experience in Unix/Linux and Windows OS environments
- Knowledge of GIS tools (e.g. ArcGIS)
- Knowledge of satellite operations and planning systems
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent track record with a technology or scientific company
- Ability to obtain a USG security clearance
Education and Experience
- BS in Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with a technology or scientific company
