Job Summary: 

As Manager, Sales Operations you will utilize previously acquired knowledge of NetApp product and services, and other related technologies, to manage the activities of the Sales Operations function. You will develop long-term sales process strategy and manage professionals who are responsible for analysis and tracking of financial forecasting, financial modeling, or other calculations used to track and improve efficiencies and processes within sales operations. You will be a seasoned professional, with a big picture orientation and a desire to develop in a manager role. 

Essential Functions: 

- Using knowledge of company products and services, support and technology, you will oversee defined areas of sales operations to achieve company goals. 
- Enable the sales organization to transact and close deals 
- Maintain relationships with field personnel to ensure timely, accurate 
- Provide support to the Area Vice-President as needed for specific projects and analyses/reports.
Requirements: 

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
- Experience in developing programs and processes that directly create customer satisfaction and loyalty. 
- Solid understanding of engineering/technical, financial, sales, and marketing processes and objectives, as related to product sales and support. 
- A clear understanding of the product development cycle, technical requirements and project management. 
- A strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture through implementation. 
- A demonstrated ability to function successfully as a team leader, and desire to develop in a manager role. 

Management: 
- This position is responsible for supervising/managing a few focused tasks within a function. 
- The focus of this role is tactical. 
- The potential impact of decisions made by this individual will have is a imited operational, process or financial impact. 
- This individual will apply attained experience and knowledge to address issues that are limited in scope, where their focus is on identifying standard problems and finding solutions. 

Interaction: 

- This individual must work effectively with Staff to Manager level employees mainly within own function, however, will also sometimes work with employees in other functions and outside of direct area of responsibility. 
- Utilizes people skills and available manager tools to help subordinates develop within their role; and sets priorities for team members. 
- This individual must demonstrate favorable results through providing leadership to staff through mentoring and coordinating actions.

Education & Experience: 

- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as an individual contributor is required. 
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience is required. 
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, standard projects is required.
