Modern Teacher has developed a world-class framework and software to drive Digital Convergence in districts.  This, teamed with our unique selling process, has netted partnerships across nearly 1,000 schools in the last year.  And we are just getting started!

To support our rapid growth, we’re looking for a Marketing Manager to focus on driving our marketing strategy, owning our brand and messaging campaigns, designing outbound materials, and much more.

Success in this role will depend on your ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment efficiently and accurately, and find creative solutions to the challenges of supporting a rapidly developing business. This position is based in our Chicago or Denver office, and reports to our Executive Vice President of Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and drive all marketing initiatives and strategy
  • Manage lead generation activities, fully executing and analyzing the efficacy of campaigns
  • Develop and refine marketing materials (t-shirts, stickers, one-pagers, tear sheets
  • Execute PR campaigns and coordinate with PR firm
  • Ensure our team and all outgoing messaging/communications are consistent with the Modern Teacher brand
  • Define and execute the social media strategy
  • Coordinate publication marketing and speaking tours for Executives
  • Coordinate logistics for conferences, leadership forums, and other events
  • Develop and execute outreach and follow-up campaigns for events
  • Create and execute a strategy to improve SEO

Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and analytics software
  • Strong project management, presentation, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate well internally, as well as with outside vendors and clients
  • PowerPoint expertise and design experience required
  • Experience building/managing websites a plus
