What you'll be doing

The Manager, Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for developing and managing the partnerships required to grow our products and presence. You will be expected to identify, negotiate, and solidify deals with big-brand partners (e.g. Google, Apple, Facebook, etc.) that benefit HomeAdvisor and our customers and provide ongoing, long-term management of these partnerships to drive growth. This role is highly visible within the organization and will work cross-functionally with multiple teams, including Product, Technology, and senior leadership, and you will have the unique ability to inform product strategy through your market knowledge.

Key responsibilities:
- Assume ownership of existing partnerships and identify additional big-brand relationships with a wide range of potential partners
- Define key partnership terms and parameters with business, legal, product, and technical teams
- Lead cross-functional efforts that include working with Product, Technology/Engineering, and Senior Leadership
- Evaluate economic and strategic costs and benefits of partnerships, and work with appropriate stakeholders across HomeAdvisor to effectively create a business case
- Stay up-to-date with all competitive intelligence and use this knowledge to help integrate HomeAdvisor products with partners in a creative way
- Prepare and present business reviews to the senior leadership team and others regarding progress and roadblocks

Experience and Skills:

- Previous experience as an analyst in banking, consulting, or a top-level corporate program or experience in a fast-growing startup environment preferred
- 2+ years of experience focused on business development/strategic partnerships with some history of successfully working with prominent brands
- Significant experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional teams to successfully complete deals
- Ability to creatively structure product integrations with partners
- History of proven success with executive-level negotiations
- BA/BS, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
