As a Managed Services Business Development Manager, you are responsible for business development of Managed Services within your assigned NetApp area. In this newly created role, you will help to shape the future of NetApp’s Managed Service offering. The ideal candidate loves working with customers and account teams to identify, qualify and develop Managed Services opportunities. This role requires a dynamic individual who thrives in developing new lines of business and moving at the speed of light! In order to be considered for this role, you must love being the subject matter expert and the go to person for Managed Services in your area. 

Daily activities and responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

• Building and maintaining a sales pipeline to meet the MS goals/objectives in your area 
• Identification and qualification of opportunities as they arise 
• Ensuring SFDC is maintained with accurate information on opportunities 
• Education of Sales/Account teams with all aspects of the NetApp Managed Service 
• Building and maintaining relationships with the account teams at various levels – operational, management, senior management, etc. 
• Assist account teams in building proposals 
• Assist account team in presenting MS information to customer 
• Meet with potential customers to understand their environment, people, processes and tools to assist with scoping and design of the Managed Services structure/offering 
• Work with Finance/Legal/Sales Operations/Deal Review team to ensure that proposals meet the required structure and margin guidelines 
• Work closely with Professional Services colleagues to assist with the scoping and pricing of elements not Managed Service-specific (ie. transition, transformation, migration, other PS work) 
• Work with Operations Manager to ensure contracts/SOWs are in-line with MS delivery

Job Requirements: 

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals 
• Experience selling Service Solutions or Managed Services 
• Ability to understand customer business problems and translate to solutions 
• Knowledge and understanding of the ITIL frameworks 
• Large global customer interaction experience 
• Legal and contract negotiation experience 
• Financial acumen; experience with account-based P&L

Education & Experience: 

• A minimum of 12 years of experience is required. 
• A Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience. 
• Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
