 As a Lead Web Engineer, you will be building the future of Healthgrades’ Marketing Platform, enabling health systems, hospitals and providers to reach those consumers who are seeking care. Along with managing you own workload for projects ranging from microsites all the way to full healthcare systems, you will also lead a team of skilled and dedicated Engineers.

What You Need to Succeed:

·  5+ years of web development experience using JavaScript, JQuery, CSS and HTML– ideally working with complex projects involving agile methodologies

·  Previous experience in a lead, mentor or management role

·  3+ years’ experience in server-side technologies such as PHP

·  Experience with the following additional technologies: Drupal 7/8, Photoshop, Wordpress, RESTful APIs, PHPStorm, Gulp.JS, Git and responsive design

·  Experience creating relational database schemas and/or writing complex queries using MySQL

·  Knowledge and experience around leveraging infrastructure, building for scalability, experience in highly secure environments, etc.

·  Have a bias towards self-education of new technologies, techniques and methods

·  Being at the top of your game with a deep curiosity of the latest and greatest in technology and infrastructure. 

 Your Role:

· You will be lead of team of engineers to create products that will directly affect the mission of Healthgrades

·  You care about making amazing user experiences, with a keen attention to detail, eye for design and understand the value of collaboration with UX & Creative  

·  You solve complex software development problems and be able to have ownership over specific functionality within our suite of product  

·  You will be responsible for removing roadblocks to development through teamwork, communication, and creative solution recommendations.  

·  You will participate in agile SDLC best practices, continuous integration and delivery (CI-CD) in a squad as part of a progressive, agile organizational structure. 

·  You will commit code, perform code reviews, drive testing best practices, and assist with configuration and release management.  

·   Being an advocate for what is best for Healthgrades. You state your opinions candidly and collaboratively.  

·   You have a test-and-learn mentality – you pivot quickly when an approach is not successful.
