We’re looking for a Lead UI Engineer to join our growing team!

At Yipee.io, we're developing a micro service architecture that’s deployed as a SaaS product and with plans to ship an on premise version.  We’re looking for a new teammate who can help us lead the development of the Web UI, continue to build out our architecture, and support our customers. 

About You:

You have deep technical expertise in Web UI development using frameworks like AngularJS and React, and creating and consuming RESTful interfaces ideally using NodeJS. You're confident writing code. You possess strong communication skills and are comfortable making decisions and supporting other's decisions. You have a desire to lead other engineers working on the Web UI. You're passionate about working with customers and building what is necessary to make them successful.

Signs of an Awesome Candidate:

• You have used several Web UI frameworks including AngularJS or React to create an awesome web experience for customers
• You have used NodeJS as a backend for some of your web applications
• You're passionate about testing
• You love automation
• You have experience with Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes or similar
• You’re able to think on your feet to debug customers issues in real-time
• You are resourceful at debugging systems and networks with common *NIX tools
• You understand and have worked with micro service architectures
• You are a troubleshooter at heart and enjoy diving in the deep end, figuring things out, and solving problems
• You possess an ability to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• You are self-motivated and have a strong desire to innovate
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills
• At least 5 years of professional experience

Above and Beyond:

• Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Heroku, digital ocean, etc.)
• You contribute to and are involved with open source communities
• You’ve spoken at conferences and enjoy being a brand ambassador

The Team

We’re a team primarily based in Colorado Springs and Denver.

We run as a startup inside a big company. That means we do our own sales, marketing, devops, and of course product development and support. Each of us wears many hats.

 The Tech

This is the great part.  We have a working prototype that we will be modifying to be our production offering.  This means evaluating frameworks, choosing tools, identifying our best practices and creating an awesome experience for our customers.  We will build, test, and deploy to production using a continuous delivery mechanism.  You will be integral in shaping all of this.

We will only use as much process as necessary to get our work done.  We are an agile shop at our core.  If something isn't working and providing value, we will change it.
