Galvanize is seeking Lead Instructors to teach full stack web development in an intensive, 6-month course. At Galvanize, we don’t just teach, we guide. We use data-driven instructional design to differentiate for students’ diverse personality types, habits, and learning styles. We immerse students in an agile development process from day one to help them become the best developers (and life-long learners) they can be.



We are seeking Lead Instructors for Full Stack Web Development classes in San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins and Austin (in the US) and Belfast, Ireland.



The full stack curriculum includes these topics and more:

Version Control

HTML and CSS

Programming fundamentals in Javascript

Server-side frameworks with Express

Client-side frameworks with Angular

LEAD INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Manage your instructional team in providing purposeful lessons and class activities five days a week, for 24 weeks
    • Plan daily lessons
    • Support students during project work
    • Assess students on an continual basis and provide prompt feedback on student progress
    • Assist in student job placement process
    • Help develop internal learning management software
    • Cultivate a dynamic, collaborative, and supportive classroom community

FULL STACK LEAD INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATIONS:
    • At least 5 years of advanced Javascript web development experience.
    • Fluency in the following topics: JavaScript, Mongo, Angular, Express, Node.js, SQL, HTML, CSS, Git, Deployment.Experience working with agile teams – pair programming experience a plus.
    • Thrives in a continuous feedback environment and welcomes feedback from students and other instructors.
    • Previous background in teaching and/or mentoring aspiring developers. 
    • High performing current immersive instructors desirable.
    • Eager to shape the skills, minds, and trajectories of the newest generation of web developers.
    • Stellar communication skills.
