We need a game changing learning and organizational development champion! And we aren’t talking about the traditional L&OD person. This role requires an individual who solves complex business challenges through innovative and modern learning and human capital solutions. While in person classroom training won’t completely go away, we need a guru to help make learning agile, flexible, modern, and SIMPLE! Classrooms should be safe places for practice – not for long multiday, boring lectures!

Reporting to the Executive Director of Learning and Organization Development, this learning warrior is accountable for executing the design and implementation of employee, leadership and organizational development efforts. This role will push CSG’s transformational approach to learning to the forefront. In addition to the execution of a next-generation learning strategy, this role will also support the global performance management process (moving toward a more agile and coaching model), talent review, and succession planning across the enterprise.

Ideally, the candidate would reside in Denver, CO, Omaha, NE, or Chicago, IL, however for the perfect candidate, the position can work anywhere in the United States.

What will your work day will look?

You will:

  • Collaborate with human resource and business leaders across the globe to identify the best learning and development approach that aligns to the organization’s strategic goals
  • Create, lead, and build a fresh, continuous learning and development environment that identifies talent needs, performance management, succession planning, fosters engagement, and supports growth at all levels
  • Design and deliver in-house scalable solutions that include a blended approach to learning such as coaching, classroom training, 1:1 session, experiential learning, e-learning, mobile, and social
  • Evaluate, engage, and manage external partnerships/vendors to complement our internal learning and development roadmap
  • Become quickly immersed in the company culture, working closely with key business leaders to understand business goals and ensure learning programs support and align with the introduction and evolution of new “coaching focused” Performance Management process
  • Monitor training results that include tracking information, costs, effectiveness, and feedback for organizational development programs
  • Establish and report performance metrics pertaining to programs, projects, and initiatives, report on them, and adjust accordingly
  • Develop a knowledge management process to ensure sharing of knowledge and best practices across the organization
  • Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices and processes to improve the quality and efficiency of training services offered.

  • Able to be agile, inquisitive, collaborative, accountable, and think holistically
  • Business minded and able to partner with leaders within the organization to understand their needs and able to tie it to the organizational goals
  • Able to think of “different paths” to success instead of only relying on expensive investments in “traditional” training solutions

    You also will have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree
    • A solid background in adult learning theory, including familiarity with variety of learning environments (instructor led, e-learning, virtual)
    • Proven relationship management skills
    • Strong technical skills including Office 2010 and Adobe E-learning Suite
    • 10+ years of global L&D experience with time being spent in the technology industry and understands having both a local and global approach
    • A proven track record of creating programs from scratch and delivered in a variety of ways (OTJ, Classroom, self-directed, webinars, etc.)
    • The ability to think outside of the box, be a trendsetter in the industry and can push progress to the next maturity level
    • A background in coaching, training, and developing people from individual contributors to executives
    • Demonstrated experience in leading organizational change initiatives and driving improved organizational performance
    • Korn Ferry Leadership Architect or similar familiarity preferred
    • Certifications such as Myers Brigg, KOLBE, DISC, Emergentics preferred
